I\V/A\V: Informal Virtual Audio Visual Summit

We are happy to announce that our partner Rasa Bočytė from the  Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, will give a ReTV supported presentation titled "Trending archives: Reusing large-scale audiovisual collections on social media". She will present at the Informal audiovisual Summit Agenda by the Library of Congress. About the event The Library of Congress convened an informal virtual summit to share ongoing work at the Library to improve access to held sound and moving image material, and to learn from the wider community of A/V practitioners and users. The summit will feature four thematic sessions: LC Share Out, Accessibility for All, A/V Makerspace, and Notes from the Field.   Join us! AI4TV 2020 Workshop

We are excited to inform that reTV will be present in the AI4TV Workshop. Project Coordinator Lyndon Nixon, will give a presentation titled:  Predicting your future audience’s popular topics to optimize TV content marketing success, and partners Miggi Zwicklbauer, Willy Lamm, Martin Gordon, Konstantinos Apostolidis, Basil Philipp, and Vasileios Mezaris will give a presentation on Video Analysis for Interactive Story Creation: The Sandmännchen Showcase. Both sessions will be featured in the first session on Video Analytics and Storytelling.  This workshop follows the very successful first edition of AI4TV that took place at ACM Multimedia 2019 in Nice (France), https://memad.eu/ai4tv2019/ (~40 participants). It aims to bring together experts from academia and industry in order to discuss the latest research progresses on topics related to multimodal information analysis, and in particular, semantic analysis of video, audio, and textual information for intelligent digital TV content production, compliance, access and delivery. Due to COVID-19 and potential travel restrictions, AI4TV 2020 will take place as a virtual workshop. AI4TV 2020 will take place on Monday 12th October, 2020, starting at 8am ET. FIAT/IFTA-IASA Conference 2020

We're excited to announce that  we'll be presenting in this year's special joint conference of FIAT/IFTA-IASA. ReTV partners will introduce ReTV supported solutions, in a presentation titled The Topic Compass: Guiding Media Archives on their Voyage into Content Publication Online About the conference For the first time in more than 25 years the FIAT/IFTA Executive Council and the IASA Board have decided to join forces and organize a joint conference with an integrated programme. The 51st IASA Conference will also be the 44th Conference of the Fédération Internationale des Archives de Télévision / The International Federation of Television Archives (FIAT/IFTA). ACM ICMR 2020

The Annual ACM International Conference on Multimedia Retrieval (ICMR) offers a great opportunity for exchanging leading-edge multimedia retrieval ideas among researchers, practitioners and other potential users of multimedia retrieval systems. This year, ReTV partners' CERTH will present a poster titled "Attention Mechanisms, Signal Encodings and Fusion Strategies for Improved Ad-hoc Video Search with Dual Encoding Networks".
